1. Introduction

Homework Builders ("we," "us," or "our") develops and sells the Builder Pro construction management software platform. Builder Pro is sold as a one-time purchase and deployed directly to the buyer's own hosting accounts (Firebase/Google Cloud). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, purchase our software, or interact with our services during the sales and deployment process.

Once deployment is complete, your Builder Pro instance runs entirely on your own infrastructure. We do not have ongoing access to your application or its data unless you specifically grant it for support purposes.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide (Pre-Sale & Deployment)

• Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and team size when you submit a contact form or purchase Builder Pro.
• Payment information: Billing details processed through our third-party payment processors (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Deployment details: Information necessary to set up your initial Builder Pro deployment, such as your Firebase project credentials, company branding, and initial user accounts.
• Communications: Messages, emails, and other correspondence you send to us during the sales and support process.

Information Collected Through Our Website

• Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution when visiting our marketing website.
• Log data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs on our marketing website.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Once Builder Pro is deployed to your hosting accounts, all business data — including client records, project details, estimates, invoices, payments, expenses, and files — is stored entirely on your own Firebase project. We do not collect, access, store, or monitor this data. Any third-party integrations (QuickBooks, Google Calendar, Gmail, Stripe, Google Maps) connect directly to your instance and are managed by you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect during the sales and deployment process to:

• Process your purchase and deploy Builder Pro to your hosting accounts.
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
• Send you important updates about Builder Pro, such as security notices or available software updates.
• Improve our sales and deployment process.

4. Data Ownership, Isolation & Licensing

Builder Pro is sold as a one-time purchase and deployed to your own Firebase/Google Cloud project. This means:

• You own your data. All business data, client records, financial information, and files belong to you and reside entirely on your hosting accounts. We do not retain copies of your user data after deployment.
• Your data is isolated. Your Firebase project is completely separate from every other Builder Pro deployment. Your data is never commingled with other customers' data or accessible to us.
• You control access. You manage your own Firebase project, authentication settings, and team member access. We do not have standing access to your production data unless you specifically grant it for support purposes.
• We retain a copy of the base software. Homework Builders retains a copy of the initial software deployment (source code and configuration) for support and update purposes. This does not include any of your user data, client records, or business information entered after deployment.
• Single-deployment license. Your purchase of Builder Pro grants you a license to run the software on a single hosting deployment. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or deploy the software to additional hosting accounts or Firebase projects without a separate license agreement from Homework Builders.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your Builder Pro deployment runs on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase) under your own account. Your data is protected by the security features built into the platform:

• SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
• Encryption at rest for all data stored in Firebase.
• Firebase Authentication with support for Google Sign-In and biometric login on mobile devices.
• Firestore Security Rules that restrict database access to authenticated users with appropriate permissions.
• Cloud Functions for backend processing with no publicly exposed servers.

Because Builder Pro runs on your own infrastructure, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Firebase project, including access controls and billing. We configure industry-standard security settings during the initial deployment.

6. Third-Party Services

Builder Pro integrates with the following third-party services. Because the software runs on your own infrastructure, these integrations connect directly from your deployment — not through Homework Builders. Each service is governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google / Firebase: Hosting, authentication, database, storage, and Cloud Functions. Google Privacy Policy

• Intuit QuickBooks: Accounting integration. Intuit Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI): AI-powered features including lead response drafting and spam detection. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• Google Maps API: Address lookup and mapping. Google Privacy Policy

You manage these integrations and their API keys directly. We do not act as an intermediary for your data. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

7. Cookies & Tracking

Builder Pro uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The Builder Pro website may use basic analytics to understand visitor traffic and improve the site experience.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

Because Builder Pro runs entirely on your own Firebase project, you have direct access to all of your business data and can export, modify, or delete it at any time without our involvement.

9. Children's Privacy

Builder Pro is a business-to-business software product and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. Data Retention

We retain the following information:

• Purchase and deployment records: Retained indefinitely for license verification and support purposes.
• Base software copy: We retain a copy of the initial software deployment (code and configuration only — no user data) for support and update delivery.
• Contact form submissions and support correspondence: Retained for up to 24 months after your last interaction unless you request earlier deletion.

We do not retain any of your business data, client records, or information entered into your Builder Pro instance after deployment. That data exists solely on your own Firebase project and is under your control.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of Builder Pro after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
